FIELD: electricity; power supply lines.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to power supply lines for electric vehicles. In a method for determining the distance of a short circuit in the AC contact network of a multipath section by the parameters of the emergency mode, the voltage USub on the buses feeding the contact network, the current I´1 of the supply line of the damaged contact network and the phase shift angle φ1 between them are measured. In this case, the current I2 of the supply line of the intact contact network of any of the adjacent paths of the same direction and the phase shift angle φ2 between the specified current and the voltage USub are additionally measured. Using a computational algorithm, the phase shift angle φK is calculated between the total current flowing through the short-circuit site and the voltage USub, and the value of the functions zy1 and zy2 is also calculated. Then, using the obtained values, the distance of the short circuit is determined using a final computational algorithm. The second variant of the method for determining the distance of a short circuit in the AC contact network of a multipath section by the parameters of the emergency mode is also claimed.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the accuracy of determining the distance of a short circuit in the contact network.
