SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of medicine and pharmaceutics, namely to use of gemcitabine for preparation of medicinal product for treatment of a primary malignant solid tumor or metastases thereof, wherein the product is administered sequentially with a bacteriochlorophyll derivative (Bchl-D), and wherein photodynamic therapy (PDT) follows after the administration of Bchl-D, wherein gemcitabine is administered once before PDT and 4 or more times after PDT at determined time intervals from 5 days and more, wherein each individual interval may be increased; and Bchl-D is a compound of the formula I:

wherein M means 2H or Pd; R₁ is O-R₄ or -NHR₅, wherein R₄ is H, H⁺, an ammonium group, Na⁺ or K⁺_, and R₅ is an RGD-containing peptide or an RGD peptidomimetic residue; R₂ is -O-(C₁-C₆-alkyl); R₃ is -NH-(CH₂)_n-SO₃^-R₆⁺, wherein n equals 2 or 3 and R₆⁺ is Na⁺ or K⁺; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and optical isomers thereof. Second invention relates to a method of treatment of a primary malignant solid tumor using combined therapy with gemcitabine and PDT with said Bchl-D.
