FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of medicine and pharmaceutics, namely to use of gemcitabine for preparation of medicinal product for treatment of a primary malignant solid tumor or metastases thereof, wherein the product is administered sequentially with a bacteriochlorophyll derivative (Bchl-D), and wherein photodynamic therapy (PDT) follows after the administration of Bchl-D, wherein gemcitabine is administered once before PDT and 4 or more times after PDT at determined time intervals from 5 days and more, wherein each individual interval may be increased; and Bchl-D is a compound of the formula I:
wherein M means 2H or Pd; R1 is O-R4 or -NHR5, wherein R4 is H, H+, an ammonium group, Na+ or K+, and R5 is an RGD-containing peptide or an RGD peptidomimetic residue; R2 is -O-(C1-C6-alkyl); R3 is -NH-(CH2)n-SO3-R6+, wherein n equals 2 or 3 and R6+ is Na+ or K+; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and optical isomers thereof. Second invention relates to a method of treatment of a primary malignant solid tumor using combined therapy with gemcitabine and PDT with said Bchl-D.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides synergetic antitumor effect.
