A method of operating a floating installation for offshore production, storage and unloading of oil includes the following stages. First of all, hydrocarbons are taken into the floating body of a floating installation for offshore production, storage and unloading of oil. After that the received hydrocarbons are processed. A hydrocarbon product is formed in the floating hull. The hydrocarbon product is stored in the floating hull. The stored hydrocarbon product is unloaded. The floating hull is circular in top view and has a lower surface, an upper deck surface, at least three connected sections connected in series and arranged symmetrically around a vertical axis, with the connected sections extending downward from the upper deck surface to the lower surface. These at least three connected sections have an upper cylindrical section, a lower conical section, a cylindrical constricted section, and a set of stabilizers attached to the body to correct fluid dynamics through linear and quadratic damping.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to optimize the functions of receiving hydrocarbons, processing received hydrocarbons, storing and unloading hydrocarbons as well as the characteristics of a floating installation.
