FIELD: induction heating devices.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an induction heating device, an aerosol generating system, and a method for controlling the device. An induction heating device (100) designed to accommodate an aerosol-generating product (10) containing an aerosol-forming substrate (20) and a current collector (1, 4), while the induction heating device (100) is designed to heat the current collector (1, 4) when the aerosol generating product (10) is placed in the induction heating device (100). The induction heating device (100) comprises: a direct current power supply (150) to provide a voltage (VDC) of a direct current and direct current (IDC) supply; a power supply electronic circuit (160) comprising: a DC-to-AC converter (162) connected to a DC power supply (150); and an inductor (110) connected to a DC-to-AC converter (162) and designed to be inductively connected to the current collector (1, 4) of the aerosol-generating product (10) when the aerosol-generating product (10) is placed in the induction heating device (100).The electronic circuit (160) for power supply is designed to: supply power to the inductor (110) from the DC power source (150) by means of a DC-to-AC converter (162) to heat the current collector (1, 4) of the product (10) generating aerosol when the aerosol generating product (10) is placed in the induction heating device (100), while the power supply is provided in multiple pulses separated by time intervals. The power supply electronic circuit (160) is also designed to adjust the length of the time interval between successive pulses based on measurements of the DC current supplied by the DC power supply (150).
EFFECT: precise control of the substrate temperature is provided and the interaction is improved between the induction heating device and the aerosol generating product containing the current collector.
