FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used in induction heating devices for controlling heating of aerosol forming substrate. According to the invention, when aerosol generating product (10) is placed in induction heating device (100), electronic circuit (160) supplies power to inductor (110) from DC power source (150) by means of converter (162). Power supply is provided in a set of pulses divided by time intervals. Pulses contain two or more heating pulses and one or more probing pulses between sequential heating pulses. The duration of the time interval between sequential heating pulses is adjusted based on one or more results of measurement of current supplied from DC power source (150) in one or more of one or more probing pulses.
EFFECT: providing for reliable tracking of substrate temperature for reducing the amount of harmful combustion byproducts and degradation of aerosol forming substrates.
