SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an uncharged lipid having structure 1, which can be used for the delivery of extended and short nucleic acids to mammalian cells. The invention also relates to a composition for the delivery of extended and short nucleic acids to mammalian cells and to a method for its production. The composition contains a polycationic amphiphilic molecule 1,26-bis(cholest-5en-3β-iloxycarbonylamino)-7,11,16,20-tetraazahexacosane for binding and packaging of nucleic acids, a neutral phospholipid 1,2-di-O-oleoyl phosphatidylethanolamine (DOPE) as a structure-forming and promoting component, and an uncharged lipid having structure 1. The method for preparing the composition is characterized by the fact that the lipid membrane, consisting of the corresponding polycationic amphiphilic molecule, neutral phospholipid and uncharged lipid, is hydrated in water, and then, the resulting emulsion-dispersion system is subjected to ultrasonic treatment.

EFFECT: successful delivery of extended and short nucleic acids to mammalian cells.
