FIELD: textile industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thin-walled conical or conical-ogival woven shells intended for use as reinforcing elements in the products made of composite materials. The method for manufacturing said casings consists in manufacturing them from weft threads and systems of warp threads on a forming mandrel installed in a circular weaving machine. At the same time, as the woven shell is used up along its height, the next developed section is impregnated by a 25÷-35% solution of a cold curing polymer binder in a solvent that is volatile under normal conditions. To do this, the solution is supplied to the fibers of the outer surface of the accumulated section of the woven shell by periodically pressing a tampon made of spongy elastic material - foam rubber, impregnated with the specified solution.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to provide the required profile of the inner surface of thin-walled conical or conical-ogival products from composite materials made on the basis of woven shells, by obtaining the required profile of woven shells without reducing the physicochemical characteristics of composite materials.
