SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and namely to pathological anatomy. Disclosed is a method for morphological diagnosis of gestational maturity of the myocardium of premature infants born at a gestational age of 22-27 weeks. The essence of the method lies in the fact that the expression index of cardiac troponin T is determined in the myocardium of the left ventricle of premature newborns, and when its value is in the range from 0.93 to 1.62 conventional units, the structure of the myocardium corresponds to 22-24 weeks of gestation, and when the value is within from 1.63 to 1.71 conventional units, the structure of the myocardium corresponds to 25-27 weeks of gestation.

EFFECT: disclosed is an objective, highly informative and reliable method of morphological diagnosis, which improves quality of the histological conclusion in the morphological examination of the heart and can be used to diagnose the gestational maturity of the myocardium in premature infants born at 22-27 weeks of gestation.
