FIELD: fiber optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of research of devices for tightness and can be used to control the tightness of long-distance cable duct system (LDCDS) channels (1) of a fiber-optic transmission line (FOTL). The essence of the invention consists in the fact that a source (7) of vibration is connected to the pipeline (3) in the vision device (2). The distribution of acoustic emission signals along the pipeline (3) is measured using the optical fiber (5) of the cable (4) of the fiber-optic transmission line, laid in the LDCDS channel (1), as a distributed acoustic sensor. According to the parameters of the acoustic emission signals, the places of leakage of the LDSDS channels are determined (1).
EFFECT: increased reliability of control, expanded scope.
