SURGICAL INSTRUMENT WITH SURFACE TEXTURE Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B17/28 A61B17/29 A61B17/30

Abstract RU 2747829 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to surgical instruments and in particular to surgical instruments having a textured surface for an improved grip of the membrane in order to avoid damage to the underlying tissues. The surgical forceps consist of a forceps sponge, the first pattern of pattern elements formed in the surface in the first direction and the second pattern of pattern elements formed in the surface in the second direction which is different from the first direction. The forceps sponge is designed to grip body tissue. The forceps sponge has the surface. The first distance between adjacent pattern elements of the first pattern of pattern elements is in the range of 5.5 mcm to 15 mcm. The second distance between adjacent pattern elements of the second pattern of pattern elements is in the range of 5.5 mcm to 15 mcm. The first pattern of pattern elements and the second pattern of pattern elements form a row of micropillars. The micropillars of the row of micropillars have a height in the range of 3 mcm to 10 mcm. One or more of the micropillars of the row of micropillars are inclined at an angle ranging from 20° to 55° relative to the surface of the jaw of the forceps. A method for forming a textured surface on the surgical forceps includes forming the first pattern of pattern elements along the surface of the sponge of the surgical forceps in the first direction. The first distance between adjacent pattern elements of the first pattern of pattern elements is in the range from 5.5 mcm to 15 mcm. The method also includes forming the second pattern from the pattern elements on the surface in the second direction different from the first direction, while the second distance between adjacent pattern elements of the second pattern of pattern elements is in the range from 5.5 mcm to 15 mcm, and the first pattern of pattern elements and the second pattern of pattern elements form a row of micropillars, while the micropillars have a height in the range from 3 mcm to 10 mcm, and one or more of the micropillars of the row of micropillars are made inclined at an angle in the range from 20° to 55° relative to the surface of the forceps sponge. The invention is characterized by the fact that the surgical forceps have a textured surface for an atraumatic grip and removal of the membrane, and in particular, the surgical forceps have a textured surface for use in ophthalmic surgical procedures.

EFFECT: invention ensures improved grip of the membrane in order to avoid damage to the underlying tissues.
