FIELD: glass.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glass articles and can be used for consumer electronics, such as smartphones, tablets, electronic books, laptops. In particular, a reinforced glass article is provided, comprising: a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface, defining thickness (t) of about 3 mm or less; a compressive stress layer extending from the first surface to a compression depth (DOC) of from or greater than 0.16⋅t to 0.25⋅t, wherein the compressing stress layer has a surface compressive stress from 624.5 MPa to 1200 MPa; and maximum central voltage from 50 MPa to 150 MPa.

EFFECT: technical result is higher strength at smaller thickness of glass articles.
