FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a disposable emergency thermal valve with a destructible insert and can be used in the fire industry, metallurgy, oil, gas, as well as in the nuclear industry, especially in nuclear power plants. A disposable emergency thermal valve for supplying coolant to explosive areas has a hollow body with inlet and outlet openings, in which a through channel is made for supplying coolant through its inlet in the direction of its outlet. The said channel is made with at least one transverse step inside with an increase in the flow area from the inlet to the outlet. Inside the mentioned channel, supported on a ledge, there is a plate made of high-strength material, which completely covers the inlet flow section of the valve. The valve body and the said channel are filled with a fuse, consisting of at least two parts, separated by the said plate, made of materials with different melting points and located in the through channel and the body sequentially with an increase in the melting temperature of each subsequent part in the direction from the inlet hole through channel to its outlet.
EFFECT: invention increases reliability and efficiency of the valve in the event of significant shock loads in a fire-hazardous room.
