FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a porous granular material for enriching drinking water with zinc, a method for producing such a porous granular material and a device for enriching drinking water with zinc. Porous granular material for enrichment of drinking water with zinc with a pore size of 0.5-10 microns and a granule size of 0.1-3 mm contains activated carbon with an iodine number of more than 1000 mg/g, a polymer binder from the classes of polyolefins and / or polyesters and / or their copolymers with a melt index of 2-25 g/10 min according to ASTM D 1238 at 190°C and a load of 25 kg, and a zinc salt selected from the classes of organic and inorganic zinc salts with a water solubility of 0.1-20 g/l, at the ratio of activated carbon: polymer binder: zinc salt (45-70):(10-25):(15-30) wt.%. The method of obtaining a porous granular material consists in the fact that a mixture of powdery components is subjected to heat treatment by extrusion or hot sintering at the melting temperature of the polymer binder and at a compression ratio during molding of 10-30%, crushing the obtained porous block material by crushing on a roll crusher and fractionation by the dry dispersion method using sieves with a mesh size of 0.1-3.0 mm. The device using the obtained material is made in the form of a replaceable cartridge for use as part of a gravity or pressure filter.
EFFECT: increased resource for obtaining water with a stable concentration of zinc in a physiologically assimilable form over a significant resource for a gravity filter device not less than 150 liters, and for a pressure filter - not less than 1000 liters.
