FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device and method that control and separate particles from sprayed water from a spray chamber in a continuous injection molding machine. The system includes the first compartment hydraulically connected to the spray chamber and a second compartment hydraulically connected to the first compartment. The first compartment contains an outlet that periodically switches between an open state and a closed state. The solid particles and cooling fluid pass from the first compartment when the outlet is in the open state and are held in the first compartment when the outlet is in the closed state. The outlet is transferred from an open state to a closed state by the operation of a valve located in the outlet. The valve is connected to a temperature sensor through a controller, where the temperature sensor detects the temperature of the cooling fluid. The valve changes from open to closed state depending on the temperature of the coolant measured by the temperature sensor. The second compartment is configured to receive a particle-free fluid from the first compartment.
EFFECT: effective removal of solid particles in the circulating water, reduction of corrosion in spray chambers.
