FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of isomerisation of a hydrocarbon raw material stream containing at least one of C4-C7 hydrocarbons. The method therein includes: isomerisation of the first portion of the hydrocarbon raw material stream in the presence of an isomerisation catalyst and hydrogen in an isomerisation reactor under conditions of isomerisation resulting in a stream of isomerised product; stabilizing the stream of isomerised product in a stabilising unit to provide a stream of stabiliser waste gas containing chlorides and a stream of liquid isomerate; cooling the second portion of the hydrocarbon raw material stream to a temperature between 40°C (40°F) below zero and 7°C below zero (20°F above zero) providing a stream of cooled hydrocarbon raw material; contacting the first portion of the stabilizer waste gas stream with the stream of cooled hydrocarbon raw material in the absorption tower to provide an absorber overhead stream and an absorber underflow stream containing chlorides; and supplying the absorber underflow stream to the isomerisation reactor.
EFFECT: proposed invention allows reducing chloride consumption.
