FIELD: hydrocarbons.

SUBSTANCE: proposed is a method for isomerization of a flow of hydrocarbon raw materials containing at least one of C5–C7 hydrocarbons, wherein the method includes: a) isomerisation of the flow of hydrocarbon raw materials in the presence of an isomerisation catalyst and hydrogen in the isomerisation in conditions of isomerisation, producing a flow of isomerisation product; b) stabilisation of the flow of isomerisation product in a stabilisation column resulting in a flow of exhaust gas of the stabilisation column and a flow of liquid isomerisation product; c) supplying the flow of exhaust gas of the stabilisation column into a dry gas scrubber resulting in a flow of exhaust gas of the dry gas scrubber, containing hydrogen and C1–C4 hydrocarbons; d) bringing the flow of exhaust gas of the dry gas scrubber into contact with the flow of the absorbent liquid, containing C5–C7 hydrocarbons, in an absorption column resulring in an overflow of the absorber, containing primarily hydrogen, and an underflow of the absorber, containing light fractions, wherein the light fraction comprise C1–C4 hydrocarbons; and e) supplying the overflow of the absorber into the isomerisation area in the form of makeup hydrogen.

EFFECT: apparatus and method for cost-efficient recovery of hydrogen and reduction in the amount of makeup hydrogen required in the unit for isomerisation of C5–C6 hydrocarbons for the purpose of thereby reducing the operating costs associated with production of hydrogen, in addition, preferably increasing the recovery of C3–C4 hydrocarbons, such as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from exhaust gas of a scrubber.
