SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical technology. The instrument for electrosurgical treatment has a head part and forms a conducting body with a gas-receiving lumen. The lumen is connected to at least one first hole and at least one second hole in the head part, from which the gas escapes from the head part. Through the first hole, the primary gas flow exits in the direction of the tissue. From the second hole, the secondary flow exits near the primary flow and/or, if necessary, together with other secondary flows from other second holes, at least partially surrounds the primary flow. On the trajectory of the gas flow from the inside of the instrument head from the first hole to the outside, there is an electrode for igniting the plasma between the first hole and the treated tissue. Due to the secondary flows that accompany the primary flow, the ignition of the plasma is also possible in cases in which the instrument has a relatively large gap to the tissue being processed.

EFFECT: invention can be used for cutting tissue or for coagulation.
