FIELD: wireless communication.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of identification of a steam supplying apparatus and to a steam supplying apparatus, specified identification data of the aerosol supplying apparatus. The method involves receiving via a wireless communication interface capable of supporting paired communication a data package from an aerosol supplying apparatus using a wireless communication network. The data package contains information related to at least one physical characteristic of the aerosol supplying apparatus, wherein said at least one physical characteristic comprises one or more of the form of the aerosol supplying apparatus, the size of the aerosol supplying apparatus, the type of the aerosol supplying apparatus, and the color of the aerosol supplying apparatus. The identification data of the aerosol supplying apparatus is determined at least partially based on at least one physical characteristic of the aerosol supplying apparatus. The user interface aspect is modified based on the determined identification data of the aerosol supplying apparatus, wherein the modification of the user interface aspect comprises imaging a graphical representation of the aerosol supplying apparatus on the user interface. The method allows to identify one of multiple aerosol supplying apparatuses prior to pairing with one of the apparatuses. The method allows to confirm from the graphical representation on the user interface whether the displayed graphical representation of the aerosol supplying apparatus corresponds with the appearance of the aerosol supplying apparatus intended for interaction.

EFFECT: reduced error frequency during selection of a pairing apparatus and reduced amount of time required to achieve successful apparatus pairing.
