SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for controlling a combined casting and rolling installation (2). According to the method, a casting product (40) is created using a casting machine (4) of the combined casting and rolling installation (2), and a group (6, 8) of rolling stands of the combined casting and rolling installation (2) create a rolling product (42a, 42b) from a casting product (40). The combined installation (2) for casting and rolling has an adjusting device (12) with a measuring unit (14) and a regulator (16). The measuring unit (14) registers the property of the rolled product, creates a measuring signal dependent on this property of the rolling product, and this measuring signal is transmitted to the controller (16). The controller (16), according to the control algorithm using a measuring signal, creates a control signal for the casting machine (4), and this control signal is transmitted to the casting machine (4), and the casting machine (4) uses the control signal to adjust the casting parameter.
EFFECT: improved quality of the rolled product.
