SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Methods include sending, from a network node to a secondary target node, an addition request message for allocating resources to the UE during handover. Operations include receiving an acknowledgment message for the add request from the secondary target node. Confirmation message for an addition request includes a context indication relating to the full radio resource control (RRC) or RRC delta context. RRC delta context includes data which are updated with respect to data in the current context of the UE. Operations include determining, based on the context indication, the RRC context type for presentation to the secondary target node.
EFFECT: technical result consists in optimizing use of communication network resources to provide double connectivity when transmitting service to user equipment (UE) in "new radio" telecommunication system.
