FIELD: wireless communication.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises stages wherein a request is sent to the network node to initiate creation of a connection, upon sending the request to the network node, a timer is started to create a connection, wherein the expiration of the timer stops the creation of a connection for the user equipment (UE), and the timer is stopped in order to stop the creation of a connection upon reception of a suspension message or a release message, or upon execution of a cell reselection procedure by the UE wherein the timer is started. The timer does not allow the UE to wait for the creation of a connection to be complete if an error or a bad transmission condition is present when a connection is created. The timer for stopping the creation of a connection also informs other layers in the network when the timer expires, in order to stop the creation of a connection.

EFFECT: reduction in the volume of signalling in the network, reduction in the electricity consumption.
