SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computer technology. The technical result is achieved by the fact that the method of forming a federation of calculators includes the following stages: 1) providing a set of calculators that are candidates for federations, 2) forming a set of benchmarks intended for execution on each computer from a set of calculators formed at stage 1), 3) serial execution of a set of benchmarks on each computer with the definition and fixation of the execution time of each benchmark from the set, 4) determination of the average execution time in a series of each benchmark separately and of the entire set of benchmarks as a whole on each computer from a set of computers, 5) determination of the Pearson correlation coefficient for all pairs calculators that make up the set at step 1), 6) the formation of groups of calculators, including all pairs of calculators having a Pearson correlation coefficient (PCC) greater than a predetermined value, 7) determination in each group of calculators formed in step 6), a calculator characterized by a minimum the average time for the execution of a set of benchmarks, determined in step 4), 8) the formation of a federation from the computers defined in step 7) with the exception of their duplication.

EFFECT: possibility of maximum coverage of the classes of problems to be solved with a minimum number of calculators included in the complex.
