SUBSTANCE: clamp-applying machine (CM) used in production of sausage products such as sausages containing a free-flowing filler in a tubular or sleeve-like package membrane (M), wherein the machine (CM) comprises a stuffing tool (10) configured to stuff the filler into the membrane (M), and additionally, a clamp-applying tool (20) installed downstream from the stuffing tool (10) for applying clamps to the membrane (M) in the clamp-applying region (CR). The machine has a housing (H) covering at least the clamp-applying region (CR) with at least one front wall (50) and one first lateral wall (70), wherein the front wall (50) is installed at least parallel to the axis (A) of the stuffing tool (10) continuing longitudinally and additionally has a hole (56) closable by a movable door element (52) configured to move between the open position providing access to the clamp-applying region (CR) and the closed position covering and blocking access to the clamp-applying region (CR). The lateral wall (70) faces the stuffing tool (10) and additionally includes a movable element (72) of the housing configured to move between at least the open position and the closed position, wherein the movable element (72) of the housing has a hole (74) for sausages to pass through said hole and wherein the movable element (72) of the housing provides access from the side of the first lateral wall (70) to the clamp-applying region (CR) in the open position and covers and blocks access to the clamp-applying region (CR) in the closed position.

EFFECT: technical result is improved technology of applying clamps in production of sausage products.
