FIELD: road construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of producing micro-balls, it can be used in road construction. The method for producing composite micro-balls includes grinding the breakage of molding materials, forming the charge and feeding it into the plasma burner of an electric arc plasma torch, forming the melt and its dispersion, cooling the micro-balls, accumulating micro-balls in the collection. Broken lead crystal and broken porcelain are used as the breakage at a ratio of 2:3. The charge is formed in the form of granules with a size of 1.0-2.0 mm. The granules are fed into the powder feeder of an electric arc plasma torch, and from it, under the action of the dynamic pressure of the plasma-forming gas (pressure 0.25-0.26 MPa) into the plasma burner. The micro-balls are cooled in the outgoing flow of plasma-forming gases.
EFFECT: proposed is production of micro-balls with high micro-hardness.
