The follicle-stimulating hormone in the blood serum on the 2-3 day of the menstrual cycle is measured and the number of antral follicles during ultrasound examination of the ovaries on the 1-7 days of the menstrual cycle is counted. A new index, P=F/G is calculated, where P is the index of the morphofunctional state of the ovarian reserve, F is the total number of antral follicles in the entire volume of the ovaries, G is the concentration of FSH in the blood serum in mIU/ml. If the index values are less than 2.2, a decrease in ovarian reserve and premature ovarian insufficiency are diagnosed.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to diagnose in a woman a decrease in the ovarian reserve, which is the ultimate cause of premature ovarian insufficiency by evaluating a complex of hormonal and ultrasound indicators and creating an algorithm for assessing the state of the ovarian reserve using a mathematical method.
