SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of nuclear energy, in particular to systems ensuring the safety of nuclear power plants (NPP), and can be used in severe accidents leading to the destruction of the reactor vessel and its sealed envelope. In the system of localization and cooling of the core melt of a nuclear reactor, the destruction of the system of localization and cooling of the melt in the zone of connection between the vessel and the truss-console is excluded by using a membrane with shroud plates installed on the drum as part of the system. The drum is mounted on the housing flange and is made in the form of a shell with reinforcing ribs located along its perimeter, resting on the cover and bottom, has tension elements connecting the drum through a support flange welded to it with the housing flange. A convex membrane is used, the upper and lower flanges of which are connected to the upper and lower heat-conducting elements connected to the truss-console and the drum, shroud plates installed on the outer and inner sides of the membrane in such a way that their upper ends are rigidly fixed to the upper flange of the membrane, and the lower ends are fixed to the lower flange of the membrane with the possibility of longitudinal and vertical movements relative to the lower flange of the membrane.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing reliability of the system for localizing and cooling the core melt of a nuclear reactor.
