SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Preoperative marking of the target axis of the toric lens is performed for intraoperative positioning and assessment of rotational stability in the early and late postoperative periods. On a slotted lamp, the rotation of the light slit exposes the previously calculated axis of the position of the toric intraocular lens and, according to the position of the light slit, after the introduction of local anesthesia, two marks are applied to the cornea of the eyeball in opposite sectors. In this case, the marking is carried out using collargol, and the marks are applied in 0.4-0.8 mm from the limb to a depth of 50 to 200 microns. In a particular case, the marks are applied with the tip of an insulin needle, which is pre-immersed in a solution of collargol.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase durability of the marking and reduce the operation time while ensuring a low injury rate and high safety.
