SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the control of the operation of a vehicle. An autonomous vehicle (AV) contains a processor configured to execute instructions for identifying work environment information representing an identified aspect of the current work environment, identifying a target external user based on the current work environment for the AV, controlling the AV to output to the target external user the first semiotic representation of AV control information related to the work environment information. Receiving the confirmation of the first semiotic representation from the target external user and in response to the AV control confirmation to output the second semiotic representation based on the confirmation from the target external user. The method for traversing a part of the transport network of vehicles by means of an autonomous vehicle (AV) contains steps in which the information about the working environment is identified, the target external user is identified based on the current working environment for the AV, the AV is controlled to output to the target external user the first semiotic representation of the AV control information, the confirmation of the first semiotic representation from the target external user is received.
EFFECT: improved safety for self-driving vehicles is achieved.
