FIELD: medicine, oncology in particular.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be applied to the evaluation of the results of treatment of disseminated renal cell carcinoma. A CT scan with contrast enhancement is performed for the patient and the volume of metastatic lung damage is calculated. Then the largest and smallest values of these volumes are selected and the value of the function of the largest total volume of metastatic lesion in two consecutive measurements (Fmax) and the value of the function of the smallest total volume of metastatic lesion in two consecutive measurements (Fmin). Based on the results of Fmin and Fmax are calculated, the results of treatment are evaluated.
EFFECT: method allows for an adequate correction of treatment tactics by increasing the accuracy of assessing the immediate results of treatment of patients with disseminated renal cell carcinoma by minimizing the error associated with the technical aspects of the study and the absence of the need to calculate the limit values of volume changes for the differential diagnosis of progression, stabilization and partial response.
