FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to a method for eliminating leaks in the structure of materials or combinations thereof in vacuum apparatuses allowing to eliminate points of gas leakage into the vacuum part of apparatuses. In the method for eliminating leaks, a search is executed on the product for an area including the leak point, and the parameters of temperature, pressure and time are determined whereat the molecules of the sealing compound will permeate the leak cavity. A liquid sealing compound is applied to the leak area and the area of the product with the leak is placed in a sealed chamber whereto a vessel with an inert gas is connected via a sealed connection. An inert gas is supplied into the chamber with the leak area, and at the selected parameters of temperature, pressure and time, the gas is sustained in the chamber, then supply of gas to the chamber is terminated, the chamber is disconnected from the product and excess sealing compound is removed. Then the product is sustained until the sealing compound is completely hardened.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of eliminating points wherein gas can enter the vacuum part of apparatuses or other vacuum systems through such points, including those in already evacuated products, without the need for precise localisation of the defective point, is the technical result of the invention.
