FIELD: medicine; abdominal surgery.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to abdominal surgery. An ultra-thin endoscope is inserted into the lumen of the main pancreatic duct (MPD). The lumen of the MPD and the strictures are visualized. Then a guidewire is passed through the instrumental channel of the ultrathin endoscope and the distal end of the guidewire is brought behind the stricture area under visual control. After removing the ultrathin endoscope, a bougie or balloon catheter is passed along the installed guidewire and endoscopic treatment of the stricture is performed by bougienage or balloon dilatation.
EFFECT: method allows performing minimally invasive treatment of MPD strictures in cases when it is not possible to pass the guidewire behind the stricture area under X-ray control, thereby avoiding more traumatic surgical interventions, reducing the time of hospital stay.
