FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular to the production of metal powders for additive technologies. The metal powder is obtained by feeding a consumable material in the form of a rod or wire into the plasma treatment zone and spraying its end part with plasma jets of three plasmatrons. The consumable material is used as an anode, and the plasma jets are directed at an angle to the axis of supply of the consumable material and tangentially to the surface of the sprayed end part, while the axes of the plasma jets do not intersect with each other, and the axis of supply of the consumable material and the axis of each plasma jet form intersecting straight lines lines. The device for producing metal powders consists of a housing, a device for feeding a consumable material in the form of a rod or wire into the plasma treatment zone and three plasmatrons located evenly in the housing to ensure that the plasma jets are directed at an angle to the axis of supply of the consumable material and tangentially to the surface of the sprayed end part.
EFFECT: improved quality of the powder.
