FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to exercise machines and methods for rehabilitation of patients with musculoskeletal disorders. The exercise machine for rehabilitation of patients with musculoskeletal disorders is comprised of a front and a rear U-shaped hand supports, a horizontal platform with guides and carriages for placement of the feet of patients, configured to move along the guides of the horizontal platform. The hand supports are comprised of a base and a pair of vertically oriented stands with C-shaped handles installed thereon configured to be adjusted by height. The hand supports are perpendicularly fixed by the bases on the horizontal platform. The guides of the horizontal platform are configured for three types of carriages to be installed on and move along said guides. The method for rehabilitation of patients is implemented using the exercise machine and consists in performing exercises of three types. When performing the first type of exercise, the patient, standing on the carriages of the first type, holding the handles with their hands, moves one or two feet back and forth along the guides of the horizontal platform. When performing the second type of exercise, the patient, standing on the carriages of the second type, holding the handles with their hands, moves one or two feet left and right along the guides of the horizontal platform. When performing the third type of exercise, the patient, standing on a carriage of the third type, holding the handles with their hands, simultaneously moves both legs and the pelvic region left and right along the guides of the horizontal platform.
EFFECT: increased variability of change in the load applied to various muscle groups of the trunk, arms, legs and joints during exercise.
