where R1 is 2,3-bis(1-β-D-glucopyranosyl)-1-β-D-glucopyranosyl or 2-(1-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl)-3-(1-β-D-glucopyranosyl)-1-β-D-glucopyranosyl; A1 is NR10 or O; L1 is C1-6 alkylene linker or tetrahydropyrane ring; G1 is OH, CH2OH, COOH, tetrahydropyrane ring or where A2 is NR20 or O; L2 is C1-6 alkylene linker; G2 is COOH or COOR25, where C1-6 alkylene linker is optionally substituted with one or more substituents selected from OH and alkyl, where the alkyl is optionally substituted with one or more groups selected from phenyl or COOH; each tetrahydropyrane ring is optionally substituted with one or more groups selected from OH, Cl and CH2OH; R10 and R20 are H; R25 is C1-6 alkyl provided that the compound of formula I is not rebaudioside A, α-monoglucosyl rebaudioside A-1, rebaudioside C, rebaudioside D, rebaudioside D2, rebaudioside I, rebaudioside K.

EFFECT: compound is proposed, which is effective as sweetener and sweetness enhancer, sweetener compositions comprising it, drinking and food product with a reduced amount of sugar without a reduced level of sweetness, as well as an effective method for reducing amount of sugar in a food or drinking product by means of replacing the sweetener with a compound of formula I.
