FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, particularly to a method for lining air tuyeres of a blast furnace. The fire-resistant protective lining is applied by means of gunning directly onto the surface of the skull of the setting socket formed after removing the previous air tuyere and removing the skull to a depth no greater than the thickness of the fire-resistant layer. The air tuyere is installed in the blast furnace, maintaining the plastic-viscous properties of the fire-resistant protective lining. To increase adhesion with the fire-resistant protective lining, a tuyere with a greater surface roughness is installed. The thickness of the fire-resistant protective lining is determined depending on the depth of removal of the skull.
EFFECT: invention is intended to increase durability of air tuyeres, reduce the proportion of unscheduled downtime of blast furnaces, increase cast iron production, reduce fuel consumption by reducing heat losses for stopping blast furnaces in the process of cooling tuyeres and mixtures.
