SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an aerosol-generating apparatus, a method for controlling an aerosol-generating apparatus and a computer-readable data storage medium. The aerosol-generating apparatus is comprised of a power source, a load configured to have an electrical resistance value varying depending on the temperature and to spray the aerosol source or heat the fragrance source when power is supplied thereto from the power supply, a power circuit electrically connected with the power source and the load and containing a voltage conversion unit configured to convert the output voltage of the power source and to output the converted output voltage to the load, and a control unit configured to receive the measured value corresponding with the value of the current flowing through the load and to control the power supplied to the load by the measured value, wherein the power circuit comprises a first power supply circuit not providing the measured value and a second power supply circuit providing the measured value, wherein the control unit controls the first power supply circuit and the second power supply circuit so that the first power supply circuit and the second power supply circuit do not function simultaneously and the frequency of power supply to the second power supply circuit is lower than the frequency of power supply to the first power supply circuit, and if the measured value is within the predetermined range containing a defined value or a defined range, the control unit controls the first power supply circuit and the second power supply circuit so that the measured value approaches the defined value or the defined range, and if the measured value is not within the predetermined range, the control unit controls the first circuit power supply and the second power supply circuit so that the measured value becomes less than the defined value or values contained in the defined range.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of using the size of charge of the power source is provided by supplying power to the second circuit only at a suitable time.
