SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. A recombinant strain of Schizosaccharomyces pombe VKPM Y-4822, which is a producer of L-lactic acid, is proposed. The strain has a deleted pyruvate decarboxylase PDC1 gene and carries lactate dehydrogenase genes from Lactobacillus pentosus, Lactobacillus acidophilus and Lactobacillus helveticus in the chromosomal DNA. The strain produces L-lactic acid in an amount of 125 g/l for 72 hours of cultivation in a fermenter under aerobic conditions.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to expand the arsenal of recombinant microorganisms that produce L-lactic acid.
