FIELD: microbiology; biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microbiology and biotechnology. Proposed is a Schizosaccharomyces pombe yeast strain, which is a producer of lactic acid. Strain is obtained by sequential three-fold introduction of the lactate dehydrogenase gene from Lactobacillus plantarum into the chromosome of the S. pombe yeast, in which the alcohol dehydrogenase gene is inactivated, by inserting the Cre-recombinase gene under the control of the nmt 1 promoter. Strain is deposited in VKPM under number Y-4224.
EFFECT: use of the strain allows to obtain lactic acid in an amount of 100 g/l of culture liquid.
