SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ecology, agriculture, bioindication and can be used for a relative assessment of the natural or artificial environment influence factors degree on the stability of plant development. A preliminary determination of vegetation indices set is conducted, a healthy leaf (leaves) of a harmoniously developed plant is selected, an image file of a plant leaf is created using a hyperspectral camera. Paired points on the surface of the leaf are selected, characterized by the same location conditions relative to the border of the left and right halves of the leaf, carried out using the algorithm of the program that processes the hyperspectral characteristics of the leaf image file, taking into account the peculiarities of the leaf shape. Measurement of the bilateral features values at the indicated points using the program algorithm are performed. In this case, vegetation indices from the previously selected set are taken as bilateral features at paired points of the leaf surface. Measurements are performed over the entire surface of the leaf at the indicated points, and the values of the vegetation indices are determined based on the spectral reflection coefficients from the leaf image file. Measurements are repeated in the process of plant growth until stable values of the fluctuating asymmetry of bilateral features are obtained, calculated as the average by the number of features in points and by the number of points of the modulus ratio of the difference between the bilateral feature values on the right and on the left to their sum using the calculated value as an indicator of the stability of plant development fluctuating asymmetry of bilateral features.

EFFECT: invention allows increasing accuracy of assessing the stability of plant development and reducing its time.
