FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry; it can be used when manufacturing devices for security systems or for detecting ultraviolet and/or X-ray radiation, for example, sensors, indicators or detectors. Material is characterized with the following formula (I):

in which M' is a combination of at least two mono-atomic cations of various alkali metals selected from Li, Na, K and Rb containing 0-98 mol. % of Na cation; M'' is trivalent mono-atomic cation of metal selected from Al, Ga, B or a combination of any of them with trivalent mono-atomic cation of a transition element of groups 3-10 of Periodic table of chemical elements of International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (hereinafter – IUPAC); M''' is mono-atomic cation of an element of group 14 of Periodic table of chemical elements of IUPAC or any combination thereof; X is anion of an element selected from S, Se, Te, F, Cl, Br and I, or any combination thereof; M'''' is doping cation of an element selected from rare-earth or transition metals of Periodic table of chemical elements of IUPAC, for example, Eu, Tb, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Zn, or any combination thereof, or M'''' is absent. For example, material characterized by the formula (I) is (Na,K)8Al6Si6O24(Cl,S)2, (Na,Rb)8Al6Si6O24(Cl,S)2, (Na,K,Rb)8Al6Si6O24(Cl,S)2, (Na,K)8Al6Si6O24(Cl,S)2:Eu, (Na,K)8Al6Si6O24(Cl,S)2:Tb, (Li,K)8Al6Si6O24(Cl,S)2, (Li,Rb)8Al6Si6O24(Cl,S)2, (Li,K,Rb)8Al6Si6O24(Cl,S)2 or (Li,Na,K,Rb)8Al6Si6O24(Cl,S)2. To determine the intensity of ultraviolet and/or X-ray radiation, the specified material is subjected to radiation, the change in material color is determined, for example, visually and compared to comparison sample.
EFFECT: invention provides for material stability for a long time.
