FIELD: ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ophthalmology and concerns a hydrated contact lens. The lens has an outer surface, an opposing back surface, and a layered structural configuration ranging from the front surface to the back surface. The layered structural configuration includes the front outer hydrogel layer having the first water content, the inner layer having the second water content, and the rear outer hydrogel layer having the third water content, with the first and third water content being greater than the second water content.
EFFECT: increasing oxygen permeability of the lens, which is necessary to ensure a healthy state of the eye cornea, and providing a soft, water-enriched smooth surface to ensure wearing comfort.
