FIELD: medical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology. The essence of the invention lies in the fact that a hydrated silicone hydrogel contact lens has a layered structural configuration and contains a silicone hydrogel core (or volume material) with a low water content, completely covered with a layer of water-enriched (for example, having a water content exceeding 80%) hydrogel, completely or mostly free of silicon.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of creating a hydrated silicone hydrogel contact lens with high oxygen permeability, which is necessary to ensure a healthy state of the cornea of the eye, and a soft, water-enriched smooth surface to ensure wearing comfort.
