SUBSTANCE: invention relates to new biologically active compounds, namely to arylmethylene bispiran-2-one-based complex compounds of copper (II), of the formula
,
wherein at n = 4, R = H (1) or R = 3-NO2 (2) or at n = 3, R = 4-OCH3 (3).
EFFECT: proposed complex compounds exhibit a cytotoxic effect, particularly, the ability to suppress metabolic activity of the human cervical carcinoma (HeLa) cell line, and are potentially applicable in medical practice for treatment of cancerous diseases.
