FIELD: ethylene polymerization.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a catalyst component for the polymerization of ethylene, to a catalyst and a method for producing a catalyst. The catalyst component has the structure represented by the general formula 1, where the cycloalkyl substituent is selected from the group consisting of cyclopropyl, cyclobutyl, cyclopentyl, cyclohexyl, cycloheptyl, cyclooctyl, cyclononyl, cyclodecyl, cycloundecyl and cyclododecyl (i.e., k = 1-10), and substituents R1 and R2 are independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl aromatic substituents of the formula CH3-x(Ar)x (1 ≤ x ≤ 3) and cycloalkyl substituents C3-12. The catalyst for the polymerization of ethylene to obtain highly linear polyethylene comprises at least one compound of the general formula 1, at least one organoaluminum activator, optionally ethylene, and at least one hydrocarbon solvent. The method for preparing the catalyst includes mixing in any sequence a suspension or solution of at least one compound of general formula 1, a suspension or solution of at least one organoaluminum activator, optionally in the presence of ethylene in a medium of at least one hydrocarbon solvent.
EFFECT: obtaining a previously undescribed catalyst component and a catalyst containing this component, the temperature maximum of the efficiency of which is in the range 65-75°C, and using it to obtain highly linear polyethylene with a molecular weight of 4-187 kg/mol.
