FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an ethylene polymerization catalyst component, specifically – {2-[1-(2-R1-4-R2-6-cycloalkylphenylimino)ethyl]-9-(2-R1-4-R2-6-cycloalkylphenylimino)-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-9H-cyclohepta[b]pyridine}iron (II) dichloride, having a structure represented by general formula 1, in which substitutes R1 and R2 are independently selected from a group, including a hydrogen atom and alkyls of formula CH3-(x+y+z)(Alk1)x(Alk2)y(Alk3)z (0 ≤ x+y+z ≤ 3), where Alk1, Alk2 and Alk3 are understood to mean different alkyls of C1...C40, and alkyl (and also alkyl substituent) is understood to mean a monovalent substitute having composition CnH2n+1 (n is an integer); cycloalkyl substitute is selected from a group comprising cyclopentyl, cyclohexyl, cycloheptyl, cyclooctyl, cyclononyl, cyclodecyl and cyclododecyl (i.e. g = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8). Present invention also relates to a catalyst for polymerization of ethylene and a method of producing a catalyst.
EFFECT: obtaining a catalyst component and a catalyst which contains the above component, the temperature maximum of which is in range of 70–110 °C, and use thereof to produce high-linear polyethylene with MM 2_4–166 kg/mol.
