FIELD: aerosol generating systems.
SUBSTANCE: aerosol generating system contains a cartridge, an evaporator section and a section of a power supply unit. The cartridge contains a cartridge case that defines an air inlet of the cartridge and an air outlet of the cartridge, while the air inlet of the cartridge passes through a part in the form of a wall of the cartridge case. The cartridge also contains solid substrate forming aerosol located inside the cartridge case. The evaporator section contains an evaporator case that defines an air inlet of the evaporator and an air outlet of the evaporator, while the air outlet of the evaporator passes through a part in the form of a wall of the evaporator case. The evaporator case is made with the possibility to accommodate at least part of the cartridge. The evaporator section also contains an electric heater and liquid substrate forming aerosol, each of which is located inside the evaporator case. The cartridge and the evaporator section are made in such a way that the part in the form of the wall of the cartridge case is adjacent to the part in the form of the wall of the evaporator case, when the evaporator section accommodates the cartridge. The rotational orientation of the cartridge relatively to the evaporator section is variable, while the value of overlap between the air inlet of the cartridge and the air outlet of the evaporator is variable between different rotational orientations. The section of the power supply unit contains the power supply unit for supplying power to the electric heater.
EFFECT: rotational orientation is provided, in which there is essentially no overlap between the air inlet of the cartridge and the air outlet of the evaporator, and the passage of air flow through the aerosol generating system is prevented, when the aerosol generating system is not used.
