FIELD: coke production.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a coking system for the production of needle coke and the corresponding coking method. The system contains from 1 to m (total m) heating units and from 1 to n (total n) coke columns, where m is any integer from 2 to n-1, where n is any integer from 3 to 20. Each of m heating units communicates with n number of coke columns, respectively, each of n coke columns communicates with at least one separation column, respectively. At least one separation column communicates with m-th heating unit and, optionally, communicates with i-th heating unit, where i is any integer greater than 1 and less than m. The method includes coking steps using m heating units and n coke columns, where m is any integer from 2 to n-1, n is any integer from 3 to 20, each of m heating units respectively communicates with n number of coke columns by transporting material. At the same time, if it is assumed that T0 is loading start time, and Te is loading completion time for h-th coke column, where h is any integer from 1 to n, from n coke columns, starting at the specified time T0, the transportation of material from each of the heating units to h-th coke column in the order from the specified 1st heating unit to m-th heating unit is sequentially started and completed, and at time Te, the movement of material from m-th heating unit to h-th coke column is stopped.

EFFECT: obtaining needle coke with the same yield.
