STIRLING FREE-PISTON ENGINE COOLER WITH LINEAR GENERATOR Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC F02G1/43 F02G1/55 H02K33/16

Abstract RU 2754571 C1

FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering and can be used in Stirling engines with a linear generator containing a cooler. The set of essential features of the Stirling free-piston engine cooler with a linear generator 1 are the housing 2, concentrically located on the outer surface of the engine cylinder 3 with channels made in the housing connected to the regenerative heat exchanger 22, and the cooling jacket 4 covering the housing. The cooler additionally contains a permanent magnet 6 and an electromagnet 7, made in the form of rings, and two distribution ring cavities 8, 9, made in the housing 2 on the side of the cooling cavity of the engine 10. The channels are divided concentrically relative to the axis of the cylinder into two groups 11, 12, each group of channels is connected, respectively, to one of the annular cavities 8, 9, each annular cavity is connected, respectively, through its outlet window 13, 14, to the cooling cavity, the permanent magnet 6 is located with the possibility of axial movement in the annular groove 15, made from the inside of the housing 2 in the area of the outlet windows 13, 14. The north and south poles of the permanent magnet 6 are oriented, respectively, on each end surface of the ring. The electromagnet 7 is located concentrically relative to the axis of the cylinder and one of the ends of the electromagnet is combined with the end surface of the annular groove, while the poles of the electromagnet are oriented at its ends, and the electromagnet itself is connected to a linear generator 1.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of the Stirling engine by organizing the movement of gas in through channels depending on the direction of movement of the displacer piston, which leads to increased efficiency of the thermodynamic cycle of the Stirling engine.
