The device for processing the intermediate layer in the process tank contains a cylindrical vertical body, fittings for the inlet of emulsion and outlets of gas, oil and sediment water, level gauges, a Z-shaped pipe, longitudinally installed in the body. The lower end of the pipe is connected to the inlet connection. The horizontally located upper end of the pipe is made with horizontally placed slots arranged in rows along the vertical and horizontal surfaces. The vertical section of the pipe is located from the vertical wall of the tank at a distance that provides a change in the position of the upper end of the pipe. In addition, the lower end of the pipe is made with an outlet from the body through a union and is connected through gland assemblies and a pivot assembly, which ensure rotation of the pipe, with pipelines for sampling and supplying a reagent.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of separation of an oil-water emulsion in a process tank when changing the level of its placement.
