SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to immunology, and can be used to diagnose disorders of phagocytosis in children with various diseases. A method for diagnosing a violation of phagocytosis in children is carried out by examining a mixture consisting of a suspension of leukocytes in blood plasma and a suspension of pollen grains in a physiological solution, while the study includes preparing a blood plasma sample containing 3-9×109 leukocytes/l, calculating the amount of plasma, which you need to delete; preparation of a suspension of particles selected from pollen grains of timothy, barnyard grass, small-leaved lime, common privet, exceeding the size of leukocytes and capable of gluing leukocytes, determination of the concentration of pollen grains, examination of the resulting suspension of particles under a microscope, counting the number of pollen grains in 10 fields of view and determination of the average the number of pollen grains in one field of view, mixing a suspension of leukocytes and pollen grains in equal parts. Phagocytosis is assessed by counting a total of at least 100 pollen grains in a ratio of 5-30 leukocytes per particle, incubating the mixture in a thermostat, resuspension and microscopy. In this case, the mixture is introduced into a test tube, which is incubated in an upright position at 37°C for 1 hour, a total of at least 100 pollen grains lying freely and glued to each other is counted, while taking into account the number of pollen grains in agglomerates, the percentage of particles is determined, glued together by leukocytes into agglomerates, from the total number of particles that are free lying and glued into agglomerates, and when the number of particles in agglomerates is less than 40%, a violation of phagocytosis is diagnosed.

EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the accuracy of the method by providing optimal conditions for detecting violations of the function of leukocytes glue and retain large particles exceeding the diameter of the leukocyte.
